Brian's Grandpa lives in a neighborhood, so for the first time in my life I got to witness trick-or-treating. There were lots of little kids, my favorite was our first trick-or-treater - she was dressed up as an iPod and when you pressed play she sang "Build Me Up Buttercup!"
Becky, Brian's Mom, decided to borrow her nephew's sweatshirt and use it to hide her face and scare the children. She sat on the front porch with a mask on her face and a large bucket of candy on her lap. When people would come up to the porch she would sit very still until the child reached in for candy and then she would slowly touch their arm. Surprisingly, she scared more parents than she did children.
The day after Halloween, we celebrated the commitment that Brian's Grandpa and his new lady, Pat are making to one another. They commited their lives to each other a sweet ceremony at their house with their friends and family gathered around.
