Cannon Beach

Our summer vacation has come to an end and now it is time to blog about it (although I am a bit late in the game, my apologies for the tardy vacation update)!

For a week, Brian and I went down to Cannon Beach, Oregon to spend some quality time with family and friends. The whole group consisted of my mom and dad, Brad & Nikki, Marc, Anna, Grace, Ezra & Audrey, Anna's parents - Linda & Ski, the Rowley's - Josh, Mishal, Lauren, Jack & Reed, the Ochao's - Danny, Lexi & X, and the Stump's - John & Teresa. We had two big houses and one very large tent, on a odd campsite. We spent the days relaxing on the beach, shopping in the cute stores, eating wonderful food, laughing a lot, telling stories, planning a wedding, doing nose strips, playing bocce ball, painting nails, doing henna art, boggy boarding, skin boarding, surfing, building sand castles, playing with the children, roasting smores over campfires and playing Compatibility (Warning: This game may cause martial problems) :). The weather was absolutely fabulous for the first few days and then after that we had clouds and doom. It was nice though, it helped us to relax and just have lazy days.

Below are some photos from our trip, reader be forewarned, there are many of them:

Some seals we ran in to on our way down to the beach.
Marc running around with his three children.
Gracie building a sand castle at the beach.
Marc pulling the kids on the boogie boards.
The boys playing bocce ball in the water...talk about challenging.
Nikki and Ezra after she buried him in the sand. :)
Danny skin boarding in the ocean.
Nikki and Mom swinging Ezra...oh to be a kid again.
The famous Haystack Rock.
Brad building the kids a "hot tub."
I have no explaination for this...Josh being Josh. :)
She wasn't so sure about the sand...she's a clean freak. :)
Pelicans everywhere!
The boogie boarding crew. Brian was crazy, he went out the first time without a wetsuit! Brad is on the phone with Laney...she was wishing him a Happy Birthday!
Six of us out trying to catch a wave.
Me trying to catch my first wave...I got dunked a few times, but caught two waves. Definetely a very fun time.
Brad riding a huge wave all the way in.
Brian and I, up bright and early looking for sand dollars (we found some)!
Our early morning adventure - it appears a very large school of fish did not make it out when the tide went out.
Happy Birthday, Brad!
My henna tattoo, handpainted by the very talented Lexi Ochoa.
Little Audrey, enjoying some birthday cake and showing me her full belly.
Mom, me and Nikki trying to get rid all of our blackheads.
Gracie lost another tooth! She lost it at Indian Beach...not Cannon Beach...don't confuse the two. :)
Home Sweet Home. This is where Brian & I, as well as Brad & Nikki lived for four nights and five days.
